About Us
REC was founded in 1999 as a design house and started the mass production under TS16949 certification from 2010. ACTRON acquired 40% of REC's shares as the biggest share holder in the end of 2015. ACTRON provides electronic devices as a Tier-2 supplier in automotive powertrain business; its 100% of revenue is for automotive, 98% for OE.
REC moved into ACTRON campus in 2016 and located on one full floor and part of another floor of ACTRON building, approximate 25,000 SQFT. Some functions are supported by ACTRON such as IT, facilities, Logistic, etc. We have four manager level designers and three senior engineers. All Test/Quality/MFG employees are experienced.
REC focuses on automotive; 100% of its revenue comes from automotive devices. Major customers are China Motor Corporation (CMC, an automobile manufacturer based in Taiwan since 1969; Mitsubishi acquired 25% shares and technical transfer in 1986), Clarion Corporation Ltd. (Hitachi subsidiary, 2 DIN OE supplier), Carmax (Toyota supply chain in Taiwan; REC delivers dealer options rear view cameras for Toyota RAV4, YARIS, and VIOS.), PT JVIC (linked with Honda and Mitsubishi distributor in Indonesia; REC delivers rear view camera modules for Honda BRV and Mitsubishi Outlander Sport).
REC has been engaging with one American Tier-1 system provider to develop LVDS mega-pixel camera modules for an OE project starting early 2017, and has became a qualified supplier in 2018.
